HORSEPOWER DYNO RESULTS

ENGINE BASELINE*                                   ENGINE MODIFIED*
Horsepower: 290 @ 5100 rpm                Horsepower: 304 @ 5500 rpm
Torque: 326 lbs/ft @ 3750 rpm               Torque: 345 lbs/ft @ 3800 rpm

For our test mule motor we chose a 350 Chevy with an advertised 290 horsepower. Our Bang for the Buck combination was a Summit Racing kit that included their cast aluminum intake manifold, 750 cfm remanufactured Quadrajet Carb, Summit hydraulic cam & lifter kit, and Summit double roller timing set.

Our 350 baselined at 290hp @ 5100@rpm and made max torque of 326lbs/ft @ 3750rpm.

Our dyno run resulted in a peak torque of 345lbs/ft at 3800rpm, and we made 304hp @ 5500rpm. That is an extra 14hp and 19lbs/ft of torque.

The combination price is $479.95 delivering a healthy bang for the buck just over $34 per horsepower. This combiniation is perfect for small block street applications, adding power and torque throughout the entire curve.
